Well usually I use a private SSH server to get good latencies, but never had this low before.Very good! So what acct do u have? Shaped? Unshaped?
What happens when you in the middle ofa 25 man boss fitht where a ****load of effects happen?
U seem to be one of the lucky ones!
Yes it was on sunday, as CS only did their maintenance over to SAT3 on Sunday morning.Time of screenshot = 11:52 AM, I am guessing on a Sunday.
Latency on the screenshot = 222
Raid size = 10 man
Activity = 4 neutral beetles running around.
Hardly a worthy example.
Yeh gief screenshots with 25man in full combat etc ^^

They also route via SAT3 ?

On Sunday I had latency of 230ms in quiet places, and most BG's, using AXXESS unshaped (SAIX), which costs a slap-in-face R100 a GB.<snip>You don;t like the example, just ignore it rather. I'll enjoy this ISP's good days while it last. Why? Because it was the 1st time in 2 years I could play wow directly over my ISP without using a SSH proxy/tunnel or VPN to keep latency low. In fact my experience Sunday on Cybersmart was better than all the SSH tunnel/proxy and VPN providers I usually use to keep my latency at around 350ms.
Very interesting, I can agree with this after looking at davemc showing that 2 pcs are doing 45kbyte/sec upload!!The DC's are quite common and nasty to sort out.
After extensive debugging and reading up literally on packet level I got mine sorted out (well all except Ony 25 when all whelps are AOED down in one big massive pile). The thing thats killing you and causing DC's is actually a combination of two things. Mods + heavy data bursts.
The first thing you have to do is elliminate all non-critical data transmissions from your pc. The following sorted out my DC's.
1 - Get FuBar_AddonSpamFu
This will identify who is bombing you with data requests and causing your pc to choke on data bursts when it comes to heavy raiding encounters which pushes the data transmission over the edge which kills your connection to the server. The following was identified : a data rate of 3000 CPS will cause a disconnect if sustained for more than a few seconds. There seems to be an input buffer of something along the lines of 32KBytes serverside. Filling it would be what causes the kick. Now normally you wont DC under normal conditions. But add severe syncing conditions as per a 25 man raid, and boom you hit the limit and get DC'd.
Now before you reply with a answer like "But I DC even while I have NO mods / addons running" ... think about the following.
Your pc is syncing passively with people in your guild, even if they are on totally different areas / locations in the game. Dont believe me ? Get that mod, and see who are the poepholle killing you... yes its those people with Gearscore checkers, carbonite, questhelpers, auctioneers. Your pc syncs to them at least 20 - 30 times every 10 seconds PER PERSON. Add a few guild members like 10 / 20 of them running it... well yes, not rocket science.
Mods... I used DBM in the past, but after just seeing how much DBM sync's... I moved over to big wigs. The difference in data syncing is remarkable.
Disable your combat log totally.
Recount ensure you use /recount sync to set it to lazy mode syncing. Real time syncing under heavy AOE environments will kill you with data transmissions.
2 - Download and install chat throttlelib : http://www.wowwiki.com/ChatThrottleLib
You can actually channel your addons to communicate through that mod to ensure you dont DC under heavy data burst periods.
I went from guaranteed DC's in TOC Gormak +twin valkyrs + Anube every week to pretty much not one DC whole night.
Oh yes... to stop your pc from syncing with other people you can /ignore that player and you will stop communicating with the other player.
Addons like gearscore checkers are banned from high end raiding guilds... the authors of those mods should be given a painfull death with no mercy.

Only one of us runs vent.I'd say the starting point is, there are 2 of you on the line both with vent, where as in my case it was only 1 person. 2 players mixes the scenario quite a bit.
Do you also get disconnected when only one of you play?<snip>
Only one of us runs vent.
With only one playing in a 25 man, no DC's.
Thanks for the other pics Tinuva. That 25 man VOA is extremely impressive, I am tempted to ask if you flew up to Europe for that.
@Pornolio - good tips, I shall be trying them soon. I will report back.
