Do you have a voicemail message or do you let your ISP do the work for you?

Is your message serious, businesslike, or funny?

I had my own message but it keeps getting reset. It's straight and normal. You have to keep it simple because for some reason voicemail is hard to hear.

Mine:

It's obvious I am not available right now and you know what to do, so do it now.

"You've reached my voicemail. Please leave a message".

I decided not to say my name because if someone was calling me they should know who I am.

Also short and simple, "You've reached <bleep> please leave your name and number and I'll get back to you."

A friend had the most sadistic voicemail once:

"Hello?
<pause>
Hello? What? I can't hear you!
<pause>
Haha! Just kidding! You've reached <bleep>---"

:) Loved it :D

"You've reached my voicemail. Please leave a message".

I decided not to say my name because if someone was calling me they should know who I am.

Yea me too. Mine said, "You've reached the number you dialed. Please leave a message"

Then people moaned about it being rude and never left messages anyway (I don't phone back if you don't leave a message and I don't know your number)

So I changed it to: "You've reached the number you dialed. If you'd like me to phone back please leave a message, otherwise I won't bother. Thank You"

Apparently that one wasn't good either but I figured "**** it, they can go to hell"

My friend had this voice that came on with a kitten in the background and some electricity noises. It said, "Hi, please leave a message, if you hang up the phone without leaving a message, I will electrocute this kitten"

That was on his business phone.

Another sales person popular with the ladies got his one girlfriend to...um... make orgasm sounds (don't know how else to put it) on his phone....

"Richie is... is...IS IS.....bah---ba---oh god oh god---- he's BUSY OH YES YES YES OOOOH YEEEEES... LEAVE A ****ING MESSAGE OH YEAAAAAAAAAA"

He was given a written warning for that one...

I gave that idea to my friend. His girlfriend (now wife) hated it. She probably phoned like 8 times a day (he's in IT so he's busy sometimes lol) and when she reached his voice message it went, "Hello?........ Hello?........ Oh hello!.........Naw I'm just kidding, you've reached my voice mail, please leave a message"

Damn that woman got mad!

You first blue.

My phone is used for both personal and business purposes and people often look for the SO on my phone (he has his own phone, but seemingly peeps think if he doesn't answer I must know his exact whereabouts, so they phone me), so it's something like "If you'd like to leave a message for Blu or Mr Blu, please do so and we'll get back to you".

Your turn, stoke!

Try smiling when you record it. People can hear you smiling.

KK, mine says,
American woman : You have reached the voice mailbox of
Me : David (In a gruff voice, but obviously smiling)
American woman : Please leave a message after the beep.

I like it.

It also means that I don't give my identity away, and I ward off the people not looking for me.
