Leaving stew cooking overnight.

Well, in any event, I've checked it, and the meat is pretty soft, so I reckon a shower and half an hour of Skyrim should allow me to wake up to some glorious well-cooked stew, without tossing and turning the night away, dreaming of torched pots.

So, I can't imagine all the liquid is going to have boiled away by 6:00AM?

Large pot, half liquid, full to the brim, lowest temp.

Thoughts?

Go for it.

I've left a beef stock simmering overnight. Just make sure there's plenty of liquid, and be prepared for the meat to be mush.

Well, hell. Now this is a cat amongst the pigeons.

I like my meat soft, so no issues there...

Mush is okay, really. At the moment my attitude towards food is that if it keeps me upright, it's doing the job god intended it to.

If I could take pills that kept me alive without having to actually prepare and eat food, I would.

I'm not a masterchef here but I know my mother usually do this on low temp, leave the stew overnight and it is excellent.. my 2c! Not helpful though, apologies

What was ingredients?

Very boring, as I am not eating carbs currently, so no delicious potatoes, carrots, etc.

Bacon, beef goulash, onion, some stir-fry type mixed vegetables, lots of various spices and herbs, stock cubes of some variety.

It just tastes... burny and bland.
