LeBron James, the GOAT

GOAT in basketball terms speaks to individual ability, individual success, team success, longevity, and impact.

Based on this, LeBron James is the GOAT.
 
People don’t like LeBron, which naturally clouds their judgement. And that’s okay. I personally think he’s the GOAT, and that’s why he has a thread on this quality Forum.

I saw this. But this moves on to LeBron’s favour over the years (since 2019). These things are a matter based on who you ask and when. The “old heads” who saw Jordan will say him, but the younger people will say LeBron.

Again, this is super subjective. But for me, LeBron is the GOAT. I’ll never ridicule someone who feels otherwise.

So the guys who saw both MJ and LeBron say MJ, the guys who only saw LeBron say LeBron?

No. There’s a bit of an issue with basketball now where the old heads think the game was better at the time.

Fair.

Naturally, they’d root for when something was “better” during their time. There are people who also think Kobe Bryant is the GOAT, and that’s fine.

Simply stated - many factors stipulate who the GOAT is. But yeah, LeBron is the one for me.
 
Imho a person who goes out of his way to say he is the goat, is probably living with a huge chip on his shoulder.

Thats all i need to know.

Having watched both eras, its close. The one is graceful, the other is powerful.

I think what sets lebron apart is that he is doing it basically on his own.

MJ had pippen/rodman

Shaq had Kobe (Kobe could also be top 5 goat)

Malone had stockton

Lebron has his son? Oh wait :p too soon? Davis is up there I guess

Pippen is a key enabler in the 6 championship wins. I’m certain in saying Michael doesn’t have that many without him. And that’s okay to admit - all the great ones had a great partner when they won.
