Howzit People!!:)

I require some much needed detailed information around which TV to buy. Below are my criteria:

-32 Inch LED TV
-Watch movie off my HDD
-Connect my gaming pc desktop computer to the Television
-Play many fast moving action games
-Full HD
-Would be nice to have swivel base
-HDMI and USB slots
-3D not a must

Been looking at the EH5300 and EH6030:whistle:

Since it will be majority for pc gaming i need something quick and nice to watch HD movies etc.

Please advise a list of TVs that meet my criteria and explain why?

Thanks a span!!!!:D

I'd grab the 40EH6030, for the 100Hz, although it's a tad pricey for PC use.

EH5300 should be fine. I have the ES5600 which was a bit of an overkill on my part but works well. Note that it only has HDMI input. Where you getting it from? Game had it for R4399 last week, not sure about this week.

Oh okay, just worried/unsure of the 5300 will have input lag for games such as crysis and motion blurring, but im not a techie so not sure how bad it is/will be.

Whats the difference between the es5600 and eh5300? other than usb?

AFAIK UAxxEH5300 is the same as EH5000, but with SMART functions. So you don't need to fork out the extra. 5 Series LCDs have always been great for PC and gaming. Just enable PC Mode by renaming the HDMI1 port to DVI PC.

ES5600 is edge lit with slim bezel. EH5300 is back lit with thicker bezel.

Remember that your graphics card will still be limited to 60Hz (FPS) with a 100/120Hz LCD TV like the EH6030. The TV will be adding in the extra frames, not the GPU. This can cause higher input latency. Depends on the user if they like it or not.

ES5600 is edgelite (so its thinner). Comes with the wifi adapter. I actually just got mine a 2 weeks ago. I did notice some tearing on Crysis Warhead during the opening sequence. I haven't had much time to configure the setup properly. But from what I've read, tearing seems to be a common problem when using a TV instead of a monitor. Playing NFS shift didn't have that problem though. The EH6030 though is a 3D TV so should have a refresh rate of 120Hz. So this will come down to your.budget.

Kool, will have a look!

Will need to do this on mine

Just remember, if you don't need SMART, the EH5000 will do, and you can save R500ish.

The EH5300 has SMART and a few more connectors - 1 x extra HDMI, namely.

Just an update to the OP. Played Crysis 2 yesterday on 1920x1080 with HDMI input on TV set to PC DVI; Didn't notice any tearing.

Also, as PostmanPot said, if you don't need the Smart TV functions, the extra HDMI and USB ports, the UA32EH5000 will do the job as well.
