I've received speed fines in Jhb for doing 105 in a 100 zone so either I've been conned by the greedy traffic department whose sole purpose is revenue collection rather than safety or Jhb/Gauteng doesn't give leeway. I know in other provinces there is definitely 10kmh leeway though.
I stay in Gauteng and do the R21 and N4 from Edenvale to Hartees 3 times a week. No fines with cruise control set to 8kms above the limit. Me thinks something is broken.I've received speed fines in Jhb for doing 105 in a 100 zone so either I've been conned by the greedy traffic department whose sole purpose is revenue collection rather than safety or Jhb/Gauteng doesn't give leeway. Does it say it on the fine? 105 in 100km zone?
Does this 10km/h leeway count for the average speed cameras as well?
Passed quite a few of them recently going through to Durban.
