Over the past weekend, September 5-6 2008 there has been several reports in numerous newspapers regarding a new amendment to be made by the Department of Transport regarding the transfer or registration into another person’s name or issue of roadworthy certificates for Left-Hand Drive Vehicles.

I thought the registration (or renewal) of RWC for LHD vehicles were impossible since many years in SA?

I think it highlights how slow the judicial system is.

I think they should allow special licenses for people who have showcars though. Sad news all the same though, I'll never be able to enjoy watching some guy driving a Mustang paying for a toll using braai-tongs

Yeah! Never mind LHD, what about taxis-sans-LHD-or-RHD drive (namely bobbejaan spanner steering wheels)?
