I change my mouse to the left hand once in a while to avoid RSI. Something I notice is that the right button (under my index finger) is much more difficult to press without activating the left.

Is anyone else seeing this?

lift your finger up when pressing. The mouse detects that two fingers are touching it so it acts as a left mouse button.

thought it was regarding the mighty mouse comics... :o :D:D:D

Are you taking the mickey? It's made of plastic - it has no sensors on the top. Nevertheless, I have tried it and it makes no difference. After a lot of experimentation, I figured out if I have my index fingers on the "half past one" position, almost over the edge, and click inwards, it does work, but it's mighty uncomfortable.

Actually, it does pick up when you're touching it. I think it's like one of those old school tv channel buttons that only respond if you touch it with your skin. Try pressing the right mouse button with your left finger touching the mouse surface and it won't work... Lift your left finger up and right click and the context menu appears... Also, if you open up a mighty mouse, you can see the fancy stuff inside that does that...

Turns out you're right, my apologies to Shardie. Because it really only has one button, it uses the sensors under the plastic to determine weather it's a primary or secondary click. Two fingers on the mouse means primary. linkage

Probably explains why the damn mouse costs R700. Or R1000 if you go to Sandton.
