Lego Star Wars 3 code not working

I bought a 320gb hard drive for my Xbox which came with a Lego Star Wars 3 download coupon. I figured the drive/game was a good deal but when I tried loading it, it says it's not available for my region?

I know my Xbox Live account is still on UK, would that be the issue? I don't really want to change to ZA because I'd most probably get -1000% worth of content

Any advice would be appreciated
 
AFAIK the ZA accounts get just about the same content as the other international accounts, except the streaming services of course. My XBOX account is also still UK based and was created before ZA was officially supported...
 
Yea I'm actually thinking of going the Netflix route so not interested in getting/converting my UK account (was also created way back in the day). It's not impossible though, my cousin has Netflix and a ZA account and just copied the app from my console to his to have it on his Xbox instead of his PC.

Back on topic, the game code not working is what is making me go "grrr"

Can't really go back to Game and demand that they give me a hardcopy instead (and I'd like to move away from hardcopies overall anyway)

It's probably IP locked - so it's available in both the UK and SA regions, but you must download it from a IP address reflecting the same region as your account (ie. you must have a UK IP when downloading using your UK account).

Your best bet, if you don't want to migrate your account, is to a create a new SA account (just a free account will do), and download the game on that. Content is shared across the same Xbox, so if you download it on your SA account, you can play it on the UK account.

I bought an Xbox bundle with the download voucher and I will give you my code for the game.

cool, but if it's IP locked I don't think the code will work though? I might just try a VPN perhaps before taking someone else's code
 
I might be in a similar scenario... Wife bought me a new 'box for my birthday earlier this month. Have download vouchers for GOW2, Halo Reach and Fable 3... Still busy completing Fallout 3 and New Vegas before starting any new games...
 
Even the code I got from demon angel didn't work. Wondering if it's ZA based. Going to give one to my cousin who has a ZA profile and see if he can access it. If he can then I'd just have to get a ZA live account just to download that. Unfortunate thing is, my normal profile won't ever have the license :/
