Lekker - another one dead

Well it's true.

Say a criminal rapes your mother, throws boiling water over her then slits her throat. Would you be willing to pay out of your own pocket to keep him alive in jail for the rest of his life?

I know how you guys feel about this... and I know it's been argued with no result before.... but could we cut down on the gloating over someone's death? If not for their own sake, for the sake of those who loved or depended on them?

Being glad there are fewer criminals - okay. Being glad that someone's dead - just doesn't seem right.

Oh, someone is counting on the hijacker for food on the table? I feel no pity for anyone who loved this bastard or depended on his 'takings' for the day. Fsck them all.

You guys make me sick.

How can you sit around loving the fact that someone has died? That's just twisted. I mean sure they were a criminal, but no one deserves to die.

Yes he did deserve to die. Unfortunately it was a relatively quick and painless death :(

I guess it's difficult to get across in text. I can rationally appreciate that his death may end up saving other lives, and I say, on balance, maybe it's a good thing he's not around anymore. But I can't go Yay! He's dead!

I'm not sure that the difference in those two reactions comes across well enough in text. The first is regret at death, but gratefulness at others being spared. The second is just... being glad that someone's dead, and that attitude, together with saying they aren't human, is just not acceptable (to me f obviously you guys are free to feel however you like, just as I am)

I for one am glad he is dead, i was held at gun point in my own home with 5 people came in and threatend to rape my gf in front of me. one less savage on this earth. i really wish the death penalty would be reinstated. freeloading skum, i dont give a **** about his family. What about the families that he could have left in pieces because he wanted a car. These morons rule with fear, they should all die.

Agreed, to bad it takes so dam long! Should start doing it 10 by 10 ;)

We'll need a mannequin, a floral dress, a big flashy handbag, some fake jewelry and a bus stop around 1am, with some bushes nearby..... i'll bring my crossbow.

Nope that is justice.

I like it! Cross bow is old fashioned though, bring along an AWP.

His fellow hijackers? Hope they got the message. As for his family, they're better off without him.

Being glad there are fewer criminals - okay. Being glad that someone's dead - just doesn't seem right.

If they died senselessly, then I agree. If they died for the right reasons, that's okay by me.

I agree with you, we can keep them alive and then torture them. But only then i'll be happy he is alive.

/me hands out a packet of CatchAWakeUp to those who bemoan the death of the criminal scum.

This proves that the police need our help to catch and hopefully kill these criminals, the criminal wouldn't have been killed and the other one arrested if the victim simply just ran away from the hijacker.....

The more news keep coming up that a criminal has ben killed by a cop, the more the would be criminals start to get the message that "Eish, I better start looking for a job instead of being a criminal and end up getting killed"....

As previously mentioned I am vigorously anti the death penalty, but while I may not gloat over this death I really won't lose any sleep over it either.

As the previous poster stated - for way too long criminals have been emboldened by the lack of consequences.

People who are ready to kill someone they have never met have no value for life whatsoever and couldn't care less about their loved ones.

It may be morbid but lets have photos of these guys bodies on the front page of newspapers. Get the message out there that you play with fire, the next cover picture could be you.

I'm tired of seeing innocent victims photographs, and those of their grieving families.
