Does anyone have one of these netbooks, if so, do you have any complaints or reasons for me not to get one. Even people with the normal S10, any complaints or reasons for me not to get one?

Thank you in advance.

I have one, been using it for about three to four months now. Very nice and works well, bit slow sometimes if you have more than three programs running, and the fan is very noisy and almost always blowing, but I saw there is a BIOS update out for that, so should fix that. If you buy 2GB RAM everything should run smoothly also.

Would recommend it.

I did a comparison with the Samsung equivalent and liked the Samsung better as it comes with three USB ports. I also upgraded to 2GB DDR and am very happy with it. Overall performance is good but forget graphics and any resource intensive applications. I use it for RPC over Http mail and Remote Desktops sessions.

Got one, using it for 5 months already.

Nice little thing, a little hot sometimes, would be nice to have 6 cell battery, also upgraded to 2G ram.

Thanks guys, then I see no reason not to get one ,actually already ordered it, it's the 6 cell version with the Lenovo sleeve for R4700, will just get me a 1Gb stick of ram and i'll be sorted with a great little alternative to using A4 pages for university and on the go use.

Hey, just to let you know that S10 has 512Mb RAM soldered on the MB, if you have 1g version, that measn 512 (onboard)+512 (slot), if you get 1G extra it will be 1.5g, and you are left with 512Mb extra.

I'm sure I can find a use for the extra stick of 512Mb ram, I see your S10 has 2Gb of ram, do you find the 2Gb of ram to be more than enough, and maybe if you know why isn't the full 2.5Gb detected (2Gb stick and 512Mb on-board)

I think the max RAM supported by the motherboard is 2g.

Browsing/chatting with 2g is enough.

Max supported by the chipset is 2gig, if I recall correctly.

No, it can only support up to 1.5GB of memory.

We've sold many of these with the memory upgrade.

Machine comes with 512 onboard and 512 physical.

You remove the 512 physical and input a new 1GB giving 1.5Gb (1gb physical and 512 onboard)

Doesn't support more than 1.5gb.

:)

Nah, I got 2g installed and in Windows it recognised 2g only but not 2.5g.

You guys have 6 cell for S10 maybe?

The one I am buying is R4500, it has a 6 cell battery and 1Gb ram.

Brand new, with the 6 cell battery, that is a bargain.

S10e bargains

I Just bought a whole bunch of these at R4450, with the 6 cell battery and the nice Neoprene cover included.
It really is a beaut machine.
I have owned many Netbooks, always "ugrading" to the next "better" model, but now I have finally settled on the Lenovo Ideapad S10e Netbook.
Best performance, sexiest model on the market.
I have a few extras spare if anyone wants a bargain.
