I got an Lenovo S10e today. Got it at the University for doing my Masters in Engineering... I know the processing power is quite low, but I have another computer if I need to do high power consumption simulations and stuff.

What are your thoughts on the S10e? Anyone else with one that is experiencing problems?

My only problem is that it's getting quite hot. Sometimes when I was lying on the bed and browsing the net, the bottom of the machine is quite hot, but the fan is not running as it should (I am running WIFI to connect to my ADSL), maybe the fan will only run when the CPU is under load? Not running in Battery mode but connected to power.

Oh and the sensitivity of right touch pad button is a little not responsive. Need to press quite hard. But everything else is very nice.

What is the build quality like? Looks like one of the best netbooks around, and fairly priced when compared to its competitors.

I agree with the comments around the build quality here http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4620

To me it does not look like a low end/budget laptop relacement at all. When you press the buttons quite hard, you won't feel that the whole keyboard is sinking into the Netbook like some other ones I tried. S10 comes with a express card slot, which was replaced by a lot of other Netbooks with a third USB. I would prefer the Express card. And the one key recovery is also good considers that netbooks don't come with optical drives anymore, re-installation of OS could be troublesome.

Hmmm... looking at getting one of these for an entry level staff laptop. Seems folks aren't terribly unhappy with the little machines.
