Thank you BDT yes SPL is very expensive and I currently do find the services from Part Serve lacking to an extent, any other recommendations perhaps.

depending on what parts you need, but u better off buying a second hand laptop and use the parts off there

:erm: ...no, those are basically the only two official places, at least that I've learnt. But depending on what you're after, you may have alternatives: you can shop around for laptop screens (RAM is (mostly) RAM) and you can shop around for (Lenovo) laptop power bricks. But when it's something that goes only into a Lenovo, it gets ...interesting past that.

Hey BDT, yes that is unfortunate that there is only two apointed resellers for Lenovo in SA to my knowledge as well, see I have order parts for a Lenovo laptop Yoga 900s the screen assembly and the plam rest assembly, to date I have waited more than 65 days for the parts and looking at 65 days that a huge down time and delay, and my client and myself is past the point of being frustrated with Lenovo, please note the initial promised supply time was two to three weeks from date of order.

You can contact pinnacle. They also also do IBM repairs and is far better to deal with than partserve and i suspect much cheaper than SPL.

On the laptop side you can contact laptopaccessories.co.za. They don't usually sell motherboards but stuff like LCD panels, keyboards and batteries you can get much cheaper than the factory parts.
