Lenovo unfazed by Microsoft hardware

Many Corporates haven't even migrated from XP to Windows 7 yet.

I suspect 8 might get traction on mobile platforms, but not on corporate machines.

*Unfazed*

Anyway I would't call it a sucker punch at all, more like Microsoft sucker-punched Lenovo.

Yuanqing continued: “They are strong in software, but [we] don’t believe they can provide the best hardware in the world. Lenovo can.”
I think he meant to say 'Samsung can'.

Win 8 offers corporates absolutely no reason to move from 7. It is designed for phones and tablets and with Microsoft's hard-line attitude to block any attempt to provide a non Metro start interface, is going to force corporates into a huge cost of conversion.

Ignoring hardware and software upgrade costs, there will be an enormous retraining expense, all without any core value payback.
