Lesotho gets Starlink

Not sure where you get your stats from but SA has 100% coverage. There is no corner of this country that doesn't have network coverage.
My house must then not be in SA.

Some of you need to go find a shrink and see why you've got this hate for Elon, man is doing good things. So what if he's a bit cuckoo sometimes

Game for everyone in this thread:
Go and drop a google maps pin in a random urban/semi-urban area of Lesotho, and look around.
You lose if you see either a shack, a pile of bricks or an unfinished building.
You win if you don't.

I expect my Johnny Blue in couriered...

Then go to Lesotho if you want Starlink so badly. Over there, they really need it but we don't as SA's Internet infrastructure is the best in the world, outside of Asia. America needs Starlink but we don't.

I admit that it is quite appealing to have Starlink and live near Victoria Falls and get paid in USD. I have considered living in Zimbabwe. It's peaceful and tranquil in Zimbabwe and if I had to emigrate, I would rather go there than Aus, NZ or the UK.
Smoking your socks in your basement again?
How is school?

I have been to every part of the free state and never had issues.

You might pick up one radio station in the rural parts of the Free State - Radio Sonder Grense. It is the only radio station you will pick up in most of the Northern Cape towns. Outside most of those towns there is no SABC, no cell signal and having Tracker on cars is useless.

Those who can afford the installation cost, activation cost and monthly fee have radio internet in parts where it is available. Farms and farm bakkies also use VHF radio because of the unreliability or unavailability of cell signals.

DSTV works perfectly because it is satellite based and only requires a dish and decoder, like Starlink will work because it requires the same.

Not quite true - for eg, there are areas around the base of Table Mountain where it's a problem
