Let's get one thing straight...

Seems the only way to beat Barca is to play anti-football. United did it last year, Chelsea did it this year. You can really see that teams FEAR them.

Iniesta Complains About Negative Tactics Used To Stop Barcelona

Andres Iniesta believes that Barcelona's style attracts physical tactics from opposition teams like the ones that Chelsea employed in order to earn a draw in midweek.

"It seems that in order to beat Barcelona the system to use is one that involves hitting us," he told Publico.

"When one team wants to play and the other does not, playing good football is complicated.

"We always try to win these type of games, but it is not always possible. In football it appears that you should be praised for that more than if you try and play."

Maybe he should be playing netball. Football is a physical sport. And I don't remember that many bad challenges when United played Barca.

Maybe the real problem you're having is that Barca can't adapt to certain situations. Instead of attack attack attack, maybe play around in the back, draw out the players, then catch them on the break. They certainly have the pace and skill to do that. But doing the same thing time and time again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

I dont think you really watched the match. Chelsea and United NEVER WANTED TO go foward.

They WANTED to stay in their half. They sent Drogba alone up front with NO support from the midfield.

So you cannot draw a team out that is focused on staying in front of the keeper.

Its no worry, after the match it was clear to me why i enjoy watching my team play. Even if Barca loses to all the defensive negative and anti-football.

I know one thing, that if i could buy a football ticket to watch one team play, it would be F.C Barcelona.

Well, duh. You've made that abundantly clear.

And yes, I did watch the game. And if they never wanted to go forward, how did Drogba almost score?

If you can't deal with the tactics, adapt. They experienced this last year, lets see if they learnt their lesson. What you saw from Chelsea wasn't their normal style of play, they adapted to what they saw as a threat. Think about it.

Watch the game again. The Drogba chance came when the ball was played over the top from their own half, Marquez failed to clear the ball and Drogba was behind him and took advantage, that is all.

There was no pressure from Chelsea. They ended up with 1 shot for 90 mins and the shot wasnt from any attacking move, it was from a defensive error by Marquez.

Reminds me of when United faced Barca. I guess at English clubs they will do anything to win even if it means using negative tactics. At a club like Barca, winning isnt good enough. You have to win in style

BBC:

That was the most uninspired, boring and downright pathetic display of anti-football I've ever seen. Guus is tactically sound as ever but parking the bus really does nothing for any fan."

Exactly!

Adapt or go out. Again. Simple.

Adapt or die...
Teams started parking the bus against Arsenal along time ago(Think Chelski were the first to do it effectivly).Arsenal adapted...La liga is very different from EPL,I feel genius' pain about teams parking the bus but if it stops you losing then they gona keep doing it.Barca need to find tactics that let them play around this without throwing everyone forward and making themselves vulnerable to a counter attack.

hey United didn't employ dirty tactics against Barca, United simply closed down every opportunity Chelsea was dirty and couldn't hold on to the ball ;) :P

Lets wait and see what happens in the second leg at Stanford Bridge... If Chelsea parks the bus without any goals then it's bye bye chelsea.
