Lets talk Chassis!

Cosmos and HAFs are fugly. Fullstop. If you need something that is more elegant / professional looking, check out Lian Li top end cases.

Eish if you like being raped without lube go for it.

I would rather have a fugly case that is decent with awesome cooling than a nice looking expensive box. Each to their own i guess.

My box is under my desk for i could not care what it looks like as long as i feel my money was well spent and cooling is more important than looks to me.

Hehe, bring the lube, people need to know the truth. ;)

There is a point where people go over the top. The HAF is a prime example in this category.

Yep 193 is a great case. Sorry killadoob but I disagree - Lian Li makes great cases. If you care about looks you have to step away from CoolerMaster. Zalman, Antec, Lian Li, Silverstone...take your pick.

Looks are subjective. So you cant say no to any one case manufacturer based on your opinion of what looks good. Otherwise I'll just argue that most Lian Li and Silverstone cases are too plain (for me) and so step away from them. Most cases at R2k will have satisfactory cooling and noise (which is 50% of what your decision should be based on, then 40% for what it can hold, the 10% for looks), so its up to the OP to decide what looks good to him since most of the cases recommended are very similar in spec/performance.

Yeah looks are subjective and I shouldn't actually have said that CM cases are ugly because they aren't, I have a CM case and it's great. But there's nothing wrong with Lian Li cases - you do get the extra you pay for.

Best thing about a Lian Li case is that there are no plastic bits, which gives it extra strength, as well as a little bit of passive cooling. Though it does make their cases quite heavy.

i'm not a fan of rolls royce - sure, i know a lot of people like lian li cases, but to me they look like plain old "work PC" cases - no big cooling vents or ducts coming out of the sides and stuff

You could always go for something like the Antec 900 Two if you don't like Rolls Royce :P. It does have a big fan at the top and enough space for all your HDDs.

I'm sorry cerb but that lian li case is a joke, seriously... it looks like that hotel in dubai.
A chassis should never look like a hotel - tanks on the other hand, are a good idea!

Um..ye...i know. It's just a response to your comment that all lian li's are boring. I wouldn't buy that monstrosity if you paid me.

that on the other hand...
mm that 900 two is also very tempting.

That's not too bad actually, considering the price :)

But ya, thanks guys - I think I know which one i'm gonna go for.

I see there is a lot of oaks in this thread that have, or support the CM HAF Series, so I think i'm gonna wait a while till the HAFX comes out, or else get the HAF 932 (that one is better than the 922, right?)

Thanks for all the suggestions, now I actually see how crap my RAIDMax case is :D

Yip, the 922 is the mid tower chassis, and the 932 is the full tower. Will try find out more about when the HAF-X will hit our shores, all I have for now is the HAF-X website to go on (May 25th launch)

Keep dude chill until that haf x hits our shores man.

In terms of cooling very similar to the 932 but holy cow that thing looks insane .

Anything CoolerMaster for me - sorry I haven't read the whole thread.

I have a CoolerMaster Gladiator 600. Fantastic piece. The downside is it's not good on carpeted floors because the PSU is on the bottom of the chassis.
