Let's talk Cologne

i yearn for paco rabanne XS...cant believe they don't make it anymore...anyone using something similar?

I thought it would be good idea to start a thread on Cologne.

I'm currently using Georgio Armani Aqua dio Gio. Is it possible to get a generic version of this? Any advice on deciding what to buy and where to buy?
Yes its cheaper to buy the bigger bottles in Dubai.

Although good, Lancome is a great brand too. For facial especially.

Latest pickups (Supremecy Collectors Edition was just delivered today)

I must say, the packaging/bottling of the latest ME fragrances is really good. It's a real pity to throw away the boxes. Spectre Wraith could have the best atomizer in my collection.

The Chanel Allure Homme Sport Superleggera I actually “forgot” about - picked that up over a year ago in duty free Portugal.

A-Men I had to add to my collection - and I'm disappointed I added it so late. It's not as beast mode - “Mugler“ logo instead of the old “cursive” “Thierry Mugler”

I was going to say nice collection of fragrances in the background, nevermind...

How is Vulcan? I mean what's its scent profile similar to besides god of fire (which I haven't smelled)?

How is the Dior Superleggera edition different from normal Homme Sport?

Some top notch choices in your collection!
How do you store them to protect them from going bad because that collection probably equates to decades worth of fragrance, considering 1ml of perfume is equal to 10-15 sprays of the atomiser?

I don't have the regular Channel AHS, so can't comment, but to me it smells like a mix of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche and Verace Pour Homme - so fantastic :giggle:

These are all stored on my office desk, which doesn't get much sunlight at all. My oldest bottle is a YSL La Nuit D’Lomme which is over 10 years old and is still good to go

Send those Mugler fragrances my way :p
One of the saddest days will be when the Pure Tonka is finished - its about 50%

It would be right up with in the options for “keep one for life”

Pure Havane - I'm not a huge fan on the cherry tobacco - I'd definitely trade this

I think I sniff whisky as much as I sniff frags. Sometimes are the same time

I've got a collecting problem…

Realistic mango with a nice musk base for me. My wife likes to wear it too. I think it's one of my first fruits (outside of citrus or apple). Very smooth. Not super sweet. Kind of like a Food Lovers fruit aisle

I'm actually a fan of layering it with Pure Tonka. Fruity dessert

I'll trade my plum Ferrari Forte for it :D

so around 6 months back a relative from Australia visited South Africa and before he left he gave me one of these

https://www.edgars.co.za/products/eau-fraiche-eau-de-toilette-c94397716?variant=48840251736347

then after he returned to Australia his brother got taken ill and landed up in hospital for some major kidney problems so he returned to SA and stayed for a month or two at the same retirement home i'm staying at, as a monthly casual and before he left he gave me one of these

https://www.edgars.co.za/products/v...Zwho76LXvPQyYxfEvye85_Eh2YcCZlhBSYAnUNrCd-gBR

i looked on the net and saw some posts regarding fakes and these seem to be the genuine article from the things that the posts mention you need to look out for - so this was a lucky windfall for me since i basically use cheapish deodorants instead of things like this - this is ultra luxury stuff in my books and i cant really normally afford it (even if i can afford it, its not the type of thing i would usually spend my money on), so i'm truly grateful to my cousin for giving me these

one quick question for the guys who know their way around these type of items - what is the purpose of the shower gel = is it some type of soap gel to use while you shower or do you apply it after you shower (kind of like an aftershave type of thing) thanks in advance for any replies i may receive in this regard

Congrats man, that's a really nice gift. Versace Man Eau Fraiche is considered one of the best freshies of all time.

The shower gel is basically just liquid soap. Squeeze some in a cloth or on a sponge, and lather away :) enjoy

I would love to get XS as well.. I'm going to grab a bottle of Carolina Hererra 212 soon as well.

I'm also looking for Diesel Masculine (the red bottle) heavy cinnamon note that, but also can't find it anymore. And where I did, it was crazy stupid the price
