That was a once off kind of flanker I think, probably struggle to find it in Sa, intl sites and eBay will have it.

Dior and Chanel fragrances virtually never go mark down sales if at all, those 2 brands you just have to cough up, both brands are normally as pricey as commonly available fragrances get.

Would like some of the Dior Homme range but R1500 for 100ml is not pocket change granted they normally make winners though.

Hehehe, the point I was making though is heat and temp fluctuations gradually destroy fragrances.
 
Not really, the perfumes are under the bathtub level and it's an ensuite bathroom open on the room.

Takealot sometimes has a few decent deals, I have noticed their grey/parallel imports are by and large all old stock fragrances, often discontinued ranges and 3-5yrs old(according to their manufacturing date). They are probably sourcing them from some international supplier that clears old stock. Generally the age makes no difference to the fragrance if they have been stored correctly but not all of them are discounted much and if I am paying a premium then I'd want it to be fresh, ie under a year since manufacturer, ideally just a month or 2.

Have you at least tried them at red square etc before you order?
My hit ratio on total blind buying is just about nought, you can read a thousand rave reviews but then when YOU actually smell it it'll just not be your cup of tea.

Expensive mistake if it's not on some 80% off sale
 
I went to Red Square to try A*Men Mugler. The first immediate smell is strong and not so pleasant, but after it settled for a couple of hours I cannot stop smelling my wrist. The smell is sweet and warm at the same time, definitely for winter.

I'm going to order one from Ascot cosmetics since its on sale, just wondering if I should take the 100ml or 50ml.

Unless you wear a lot and often I'd get the 50ml, that stuff is also strong, it's nice though.

How much do they have it for on sale?

It's a cheaper fragrance, not in quality but. I've noticed it often at good prices especially giant 125ml bottles for well R1k. Takealot also often has it in sale, I'd take a look there as well.

I usually just wing it - way too much hassle trekking to a shop.

Ended up getting something completely different though - the Azzaro packaging looked super dodge so wasn't sure it's legit. (More specifically there were two slightly different looking ones so at least one was fake I think :erm: )

Ascot Cosmetics has the 50ml going for R575, and the 100ml going for R850.
Takealot has the 50ml going for R790 and 100ml going for R1000
 
Has anyone tried those knockoff fragrance stores which seem to be popping up more at malls? The one I have been satisfied most with the product is The Perfume Gallery, theirs actually last for a good while.

I have tried some of them.
Some are good. Smell like the original. However they dont last as long.
Some dont smell close to the original.
They do leave an oily residue on the skin.
