Let's talk Cologne

We sell a few of the perfumes mentioned above here: https://izami.co.za/product-category/gifts/perfume/ for what it's worth.
Seeing you are a retailer, if you don't mind me asking I'd be interested to hear how you store your fragrances and what the supply chain is like in terms of time from manufacturer to hitting your storeroom.

And how you manage the batch dates in terms of the maximum age you will keep them for until you deem them past their sell by date?

I'm very pleased with Kryptomint, after many wearings the dry down is almost the same as the original Amen and the longevity is pretty much identical to my nose.

Rio gave some bs story about the bad 50ml bottle but they were obliging enough to do the return and refund after some prodding, they sent their couriers to collect and refund done. It's nice they were prepared to do a refund but I would have preferred not to have to go through that in the first place, especially considering it's the 2nd time it's happened with them. ascotcosmetics.co.za has similar pricing so that may be a safer bet.

I really like Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDT, the one that smells like wet cement but it seems it's not brought into South Africa via the official channels any longer. The 100ml Eau de Parfum which isn't as cementy smelling :( pops up on Takealot from time to time, it was R 1,120 on daily deals yesterday and knowing Takealot it should be on special again between now and the end of the week:

Apparently the Eau de Parfum and Eau de Parfum Extreme are identical.
Has anyone had either before?

Takealot has a few Prada Fragrances on daily deals today, not bad prices:

Anyone know a good place to buy Bvlgari Man in Black affordably? I got it at 50% off on a Clicks special one glorious Christmas, and ever since I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on it at full price anywhere else.

Anybody know of good price for Dior Homme.

Love it, pity no parfum version, but just too expensive for a cologne.

Edit Dior Sport Homme thats only a cologne version

Yep, need to look around. Missed a good deal late last year at pharmacy near me. Sold by time I popped in.

Ascotcosmetics has Homme Intense Parfum 100ml for R1800 but you need to phone or email them to purchase it because Dior doesn't allow discounting or something to that effect.

Everyshop had it for a killer price, R1499, which may have been a promo and then suddenly doubled the price out of the blue. I'm hoping that price comes back at some stage because I was about to order it and then a few hours later the price changed.

Has anyone tried Prada Luna Rossa Carbon?
Reviews say it's very close to Door Sauvage

Sorry specifically meant Dior Sport Homme
Dior, Chanel, Hermes, Jo Malone, Tom Ford etc are designers that you will hardly see or find good prices on. Even at discounters, those brands are still very pricey.

Everyshop had a 150ml bottle for R1399 :(

Ascotcosmetics will also have Sport, just ask them how much it is, it will be well below traditional retailers.

You can also order it directly off dior.com and they don't charge import duties, they have some arrangement with the local Dior distribution to fulfill orders. Fair price as well, Sport was around R2300 if I recall correctly.

But the current Sport is rather weak in my experience, I wanted to get it because the older formulation with ginger was amazing.

I'd rather try Chanel Allure Sport Extreme, great longevity and smells amazing. Ascotcosmetics should also have the Chanel range but the prices will also not listed on their website, you have to phone or email.

Thanks.

Explains why I was reluctant to buy Dior Sport recently as it smelt weaker than original bottle I bought.

Thought maybe I missed the parfum version. Found out nope no parfum.

I'll try the Chanel Allure Sport Extreme. After a test in shop of course :-)

2 winners on TAL daily deals till midnight today, I have both and both are good, well above average in my opinion.
Indigo is a nice sharp lemony woody freshie, especially good for when you don't want an obvious "fragrance" type fragrance, if you know what I mean.
