Let's talk Cologne

I recently bought a bottle of Armani Bleu Lazuli. I don't see myself using anything other than this in future - it smells clean, fresh and lasts for over a day.
This is an interesting take. Most people have a fragrance for winter and summer.. but dont see an issue wearing a summer fragrance in winter, but a winter fragrance in summer might be harsh. Well depending on the scent profile.

Are you into Niche fragrances?

One of our subsidiaries develops new fragrances and skincare products at our dedicated lab. At the moment we're experimenting with pheromones and genetic markers embedded into our infusions for a few high-end consumers. I make use of them most of the time when I need a new scent. I'm also into niche fragrances as I feel it's overlooked nowadays.

Only issue with Niche is price and the scent isn't always for mass market as @MaisonP will tell you. That's his market lol

Anybody bought anything interesting of late?

Colleague gave me a spray can of Axe when he came to my office. I literally took an axe to it and chopped it up...Be careful of those cans. They shoot like a jet when you puncture them.

Just an update guys. I spoke to Riaz. He sent me a new package.

God the oud 24 hours smells so nice
So I'm not a colognes guy at all (beyond randomly sniffing things and going Oooh, I'll have you), but I checked this out on Rio Perfumes and I saw there were 2 units left and ... well ...

It's a bold smell, I won't lie. Not sure how I feel about it, to be honest. It's growing on me.

Its very bold. Its basically a clone of Tom Fords Black Orchid. Good for cold and winter days.

Lucky me, going into summer ;P

My idea of "good fragrance" is Bvlgari's Man In Black. This isn't that. All my unskilled nose knows is that this is different. Cheaper too, which is why I took the gamble. But it's better than Mitchum lol.

Lol if its a nice cool summer evening, on a night out, it's also wearable.. Black Orchid was technically marketed towards women, but men love it, so they just changed it to unisex.

*bows to your superior knowledge* Now that I'm truly confident in my metrosexuality, I'm gonna go look for some eyeshadow.

Black Orchid isnt something most men would like, which would make Oud 24 hours the same. Once it dries down, and settles, its a lovely scent

Yep love Bulgari Man in Black!

Do they still have the oud shop at the Kromboom Centre Cape Town?
