Let's talk Cologne

Do they still have the oud shop at the Kromboom Centre Cape Town?
There is Arabian Oud in College Road in Rylands. Not sure if they are still there, but thats from what i can remember. Not a cheap place though lol

Yep. Its a chain that has shops everywhere in Saudi Arabia.

So should stock genuine oud products.

Nice collection pal
thanks.

This all happened by mistake when my 3rd bottle of YSL la nuit de l'homme finished and I wanted something else, so for some reason I blind bought Burberry Brit Rhythm Intense, which I ended up really disliking. From there I found my first love - Versace Pour Homme, and it snowballed

Just added Nishane Ani and PDM Leyton to the collection - delivered this morning to my brother in Dubai, I leave tomorrow.

My favorite of all my current ones I would say Dior Homme EDT, probably followed by Dior Homme Intense.

Roja Elysium Cologne was my first niche - really like this still.

Creed Millesime Imperial has sentimental appeal as it was my wedding scent.

Guelain Lhomme Ideal Cologne is still a scent that suprises me as to how good it is.

Would say my favorite “genre” is gormand.

I will be traveling with Dior Homme Sport (blood orange version, not ginger), as it is a fantastic high heat frag for me.

thanks.

I also prefer the Dior Homme EDT, it's more woody if I recall correctly and it appears to have similar strength and longevity to the Intense Parfum despite being an EDT, have you also noticed that?

Yep I normally prefer parfums but Dior Homme Sport and Uomo great despite being EDTs.

If I spray on clothes it is no contest, intense is there the next day, but on skin they are both solid 8 hour frags.

EDT is a anytime scent for me. It’s great. There is something about the way it makes you feel. Whatever lipstick smells like, sign me up :)

Honestly the entire lineup is fantastic (haven’t smelt 2020 though) - Cologne(this lasts about 2 hours though), new sport, edt, intense. I sampled Parfum, but it wasn’t different enough to intense to justify the crazy price.

This is somewhat inaccurate this. What many people dont understand with fragrances, is the type of ingredients perfumers use. Some fragrances the smell is created using synthetic materials, but the fragrances that are generally expensive, the perfumers use pure ingredients eg pure Oud.. oud is known to be very expensive.

Also most people dont know about buying testers, unboxed fragrances, or from discounters, instead they buy directly from a Chanel, or Dior, Woolworths, Edgars etc.

Just to add to the above, these fragrance boutiques, while they can re produce the scent, you have no right to complain, if the scent doesnt project, or doesnt last more than an hour or 2.
