Let's talk Cologne

Has anyone tried Dior Fahrenheit Absolute?
TAL has it for R1500 and it was on sale a week ago I think for R1299.

I used to love Fahrenheit many moons ago but the modern EDT formulation I got a few years ago was disappointing.
The same seller also has Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau de Toilette Spray 100ml for R1350, shows the bottle of extreme though, wonder if it is because I want Extreme!

Didn't someone mention they liked this: Bvlgari Man in Black EDP For Men - Size: 100m R1390

From Persia, there is also Poe5ie.
For real! That name?

Edit
Rice pudding - sounds like a load of nonsense. Bottle also looks cheap.

The vintage Fahrenheit with that really strong petrol note, that was amazing.

The current EDT formulations are bleh but some of the flankers are still good, I think the current Parfum is a decent one.

Thinking 'bout ordering PDM Layton from FragranceX. (75ml @ R2,650)
Shipping seems to be free even to SA, but I am worried about customs/import duty.
Anyone ordered from them before and did you have to pay any duties?

(Value + 10%) + 45% duties + 15% vat + courier disbursement fee.

I have a few, but a big problem with a lot of them is that the fragrance doesnt last very long - and the only way you know is after you buy it.
Go fragrance shopping not wearing any.. Have the shop assistant spray samples on cards.. When you have decided on the best fragrance, have assistant spray it on you.. Wear it for the day.. See if you enjoy it and then return another day to purchase it.
Always purchase the stronger eau de parfum of possible, not the cologne or even weaker toilet water.

Definitely don’t do the bolded part.
They are all completely different fragrances, not weak to strong.
Take Bleu de Chanel for e.g. the EDT is “stronger” then that EDP, but at the same time they are quite different.

If we take the they are different fragrances out of the equation and just look at it, ito longer lasting is edp better/stronger?
I'm not quite a fragrance aficionado like some of you guys, so curious to know this.
And I'm speaking generally here, not referring to your specific example.
