Im in Gordons bay pretty often, every fish shop from the Old Spar to Strand is now run by a Pakistani or Somalian, its disgusting what they call fish and chips, sies !!!

here is also a Mariam's kitchen at N1 city which is not very good.
Have not seen worse reviews for anything.

Lots of places resting on their laurels - my son had a friend here from Jhb - they tried Aneesa’s, Mochacho’s and another place (name escapes me) and, tbh, none of them were up to scratch starting with the roll (too dry, falling apart), too much sauce, not very tasty, etc.
My wife made them a far superior home made Gatsby in the end.

I've noticed a whole lot of little Mariams popping up, some of them dont carry the full Mariams menu, like the one by us is R120 for 6 vienna and chips but its so kak i tried it once and never went back, compared to the OG Mariams in the CBD that is MIND BLOWING quality food

Yes Blue Owl is still there I think, went there many times in the 90s after a debauchery evening at Firlands

Very disappointing- Mariams in the CBD (OG on St George’s and the one on the Foreshore) were mind blowingly good - all the products were fantastic.

Our office ordered a cut six on Friday. Yes, cut six because several people in the office on New Year's plan to ...erm...eat a bit less. Me included.
But jirre, each piece of a Cape to Curry cut six is still huge and morsig lekker.
You order an Athlone cut six Gatsby and you end up every man fighting for the biggest piece and several okes will still be hungry. Not here!
