Let's talk Gatsbys

Why did the person not take a pic of the gatsby as it was opened? I'm pretty sure that gatsby didn't just look like that from the store. It's clear to see someone has picked and tampered

Not sure if the place still exists, but there was a nice place opposite kfc and McDonald's in observatory. They had some very good curries! I cant recall the name of the place.
 
Best Gatsby in Cape Town at the moment is by Cosy Corner in Wynberg. Its neat enough to appease white people, tasty and saucy enough for coloureds. Its where i take my white friends when they about to have their first gatsby.

That's the one yes. Cosy little spot, good food and the bonus that they had little board games to entertain the family while waiting. Loved the board games as it included adults and kids, kept everyone off their phones and made the evening a bit more fun just by adding a simple game of uno.

That's a debatable post.

Honestly there is no "best". Each of us like a different version of a gatsby. If I really had to rate where I'd take anyone for a first time with no experience and a guaranteed satisfaction it would be Mariams in foreshore. Not too saucy, not too much chips, not too oily, awesome steak portions and well proportioned in terms of keeping it from being an over sized chip roll with some toppings. I notice alot of places load way too much chips and you don't get to enjoy or taste the steak/chicken/Vienna etc properly. Only place that has never disappointed is Mariams... keeping in mind I stay quite close to cosy corner and would rather drive a bit further away.

Oh its definitely debatable. And tastes do differ. As example. Cozy might be for a Gatsby. But Vienna and chip parcel is aneesas whereas a hotdog is wembley. There's not even a one place fits all solution .

Correct. Definitely no one place fits all.
Only issue with Wembley though is their pricing haha

Yep the cosy corner Gatsby went to Woolworths high
 
Sunrise Chip 'N Ranch in 94 Main Rd, Mowbray is a nice curry I prefer a spicy curry I don't like sweet ones spicy and hot. yummy
