I like Woolies and their fruit and veggies.

<OT on>
Their deli roost chicken is miles better than Nandos. I like my chicken chewy, if you know what I mean.
<OT off>

I buy everything from Woolies. I have really tried to give other retailers a chance and in search of better prices but the products are not up to standard most of the time. It’s like using android after using an iPhone. Everything else pales in comparison.
Best fruits, I ever had were straight off the trees. Nowadays, people are no longer growing their own stuff, but when I was young, a lot of people had fruit trees.

Life's like that. When you were young chicks had the best boobies. Nowadays you're just feeling up silicone

Don't you wonder about the chemicals is full of to make it last longer?

Fresh produce is supposed to go rotten, not last longer.
It isn't so much what chemicals they use on the fruit but what cultivar of a fruit WW actually carries, for example the WW Nectarines are about 20% bigger than the nectarines I get at the local spar and WW Nectarines have a seed that's 50% smaller. WW Nectarines are also a lot of juicier but they are absolutely bland when it comes to flavour comparatively.

That's not true..

Maybe some of the really out-of-season stuff
I said "up to 4 to 5 times more"

It's usually when a specific fruit is in season locally that you see the vase difference in pricing for Fruit vs other retailers, in Durban, anyway

Well, I wouldn't be paying up to 4-5 times more unless it cured some sort of disease, so that's a fringe case

If you look at apples, naartjies, strawberries, banana's (from the top of my head), they are inline with other retailers, maybe 10%-20% more

Grapes, mango's, those I have noticed to be considerably more.

10-20% is a ****ing lot.
