yip, there are level two unlocks which you can only get from playing the SF pack, your best bet is to log onto the international servers, you only need one minute of play and you get it, i cant remember how I did it but I have a feeling it was a fluke...
but remember once you have the upgrades they often get stolen by medics when they revive you, i cant count the number of times i've gotten up with the crappy m16 and thought "I may as well shoot myself with it"

But back on topic. You need a few minutes of SF to get your level 2 unlocks.
I got mine by playing 3 minutes on an int server but it was kinda a waste of time since I dont use any of them.
I prefer the stock weapons over any of the unlocks.
hahaha just reviewed the stats and it looks better than the m16.
I suppose I will give it a try..
LA85 improved my kill ratio quite a bit..
the G36E is a little less powerful, with less deviation and 50% faster rate of fire..

YOu can only unlock the items when playing online, not in single multiplayer.
There are cracks, but if you install them, Punkbuster goes crazy and you could get banned from servers.

and getting my ass whipped every night... think i should be called captain purple hart( that's on those awesome rounds where i actually make 5 kill's to quallify)
Dont worrry you'll get there. Most of the guys playing have a handfull of hours on BF2 already.
You just got to get used to the game play and learn the maps then you will be good to go.

Greg dude squad up with everyone as well hey, don't be a loan wolf and be worried if you check high ranked okes in a squad or clan members they are all very cool.
You will get used to bf 2 very fast, do not spawn rape to try and up your kdr if your having a bad round like a few people on the servers.
Play for fun as well man, seen in the last few days a couple okes freakin out over BS and not seem like they are enjoying it. If you shoot someone and they don't die and turn around with a headshot kill just spawn and keep going, bf 2 has many bugs and the worst is hit detection so remember some guys will shoot entire clips at and hit nothing so it does even out

yip, as killa says, squad up, that way you can spawn in the action all the time (therefore gaining more action time) also there are medica in the squad who can revive you so you spend less time looking at the sky (as a potential tea-bagee)
