Ok so yesterday I started up my WoW account again purely with the intent to level my Alliance druid to 80 and play Alliance for a change.

I hate the leveling from 50 - 58 (I love outlands, just can't find the will to level 50- 58 on any toon.) So yesterday I thought I'll join AV's inbetween questing just to break the boredom. I got 1/2 a level from my first AV. Since then I just kept on going at AV and we win 90% of the AV's since I'm Alliance now.

I leveled to 54 in a few AV's and it was fun all the way there.

So if you have the same problem as me leveling from 50 - 58. Give AV a try..... It ROCKS :p

Heh this is true. I did the same one my paladin, really got bored at level 75 leveling, so just did AV from there till 80, even hit level 80 inside AV. Was perfect because then we still joined with level 80s and it was easy to win. Have no idea what that bracket is like now.

Yup, but on a server like Scarshield Legion where Alliance loose 97% of their BG's, it's not fun.
Which server Pitbull?

I re-rolled on Bronze Dragonblight (I think) It's a PvE server. Will have to double check tonight.

lol, you guys should have leveled 70 - 80 before the xp nerf. You could gain 2 - 3 levels a day afk'ing AV.

**** was great, but then they nerfed it =[

70 - 80 I would level instead as the rep and gear rewards far out weigh the benefits of leveling as /afk.

But Getting to Outlands is my biggest aim now, and doing WPL and EPL again for the 8th time is just not for me :( AV is a massive change as to the past and I'm loving it now :)

I still prefer leveling in instances, its just easier, gives rep as well as some blues most of the time making the next run easier and faster.

You'll have gotten enough honour by 80 to buy full deadly and furious off pieces, I doubt any quest gear comes close to that stats wise. And on rep, the only faction you'll get any rep with is Alliance Vanguard/Horde Forces. Neither of which amount to anything useful. I generally finish leveling by the time I leave Scholozar on a normal char.

One point where BG leveling does suck is the lack of gold but if you're doing this purely to level up alts then it's not all bad imo.

Guess it depends on your preference when hitting level 80.

I would like to at least be friendly with Sons of Hodir and a couple of others as I need some recipies from them. Same with the Outlands Rep and achievements. I'm not saying BG leveling is a bad thing. I am however saying that the time wasted in BG's you will have to make up again if you have certain aims in mind. Meaning you will have to do the quests anyway at level 80.

Fair point but I usually get all the quest achievements in Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul Drak and Scholozar hence I'm near enough 80 at that point without ever having set foot in Storm Peaks or Ice Crown.

I agree tho you'll eventually have to grind the rep but the way I level even when I'm 80, having leveled normally, I still haven't touched the rep yet.

All faction enchants are becoming BoA in 3.3 anyway tho so I'm not too bothered, warlock already has exalted with everyone.

I'm actually surprised you can still level in BG's tbh. On my battle group when they separated the brackets to 70 - 79 and 80 BG leveling all bit died. Lucky to get an AV game once every hour...

I power leveled a rogue to 68 recently. Instance boosting with level 80's (aoe pulling sm cathedral 5 times an hour yes plz?) is ridiculously fast, especially when you have rested exp. AV is awesome too, but I found that it was much faster between 51-60 than 60-68. We're still winning everything tho, Rampage ftw.

Anyways, long story short, instance leveling seems to die between 50-60, but ramps, bf and even shattered halls are awesome up to 70 (shattered halls is a little slow, steamvaults would probly be better). The most important thing is if you're getting boosted by an 80, make sure you fill the group up with 5 people to maximize exp gain, even if you scream "free boost" in general to do it.

i did get a few bars at lvl73 on my druid but not much and horde sux in av mostly so not much exp :(

Yeah, in our battlegroup as dave pointed out... epic horde wins.. they really do win 90%+ of the time. Theres no point in joining bg`s until Blizzard fix it.. which they wont.
