Lexmark's inferior products.

So many people are trapped by their low price.

It's sad, no one in the IT industry would trust a Lexmark product. Their low price makes them sucessful in the retail market and thus creating a "presence", fooling people into thinking it a good product, simply because it is on the shelf.
 
I'll never buy a cheap printer again ... and the fault is owed to the cheap Lexmark all-in-ones ... and the entry level Epson ... but the really old one ... Nope ... I've had enough of cheap rubbish. Last year September ... bought a Canon MP800 ... what a great investment ... works today like it did out the box.
 
Er. I was actually considering a cheap Lexmark ... specifically the X1250 all in one :/ What's wrong with it?
 
I've had a case when a Lexmark printer was faulty out of the box, I had it replaced, and the replacement was faulty too! The third, fortunately, was OK. Will never buy Lexmark again.

Same goes for Epson - crap cheap printers.

I used to have the X1180 or something like that :sick: ... the printer always used to get dirty with ink ... I always had these black lines accross the entire length of the page ... original ink was alway drying up ... text quality was rubbish, picture quality was rubbish ... the only thing that wasn't rubbish was the scanner.

And its really irritating if you want to photocopy something and you have to switch ur PC on so that it can scan it onto the pc to print ... thats how the photocopy works on the cheaper printers.

It is within the law (and standard practice) to honour only the remaining warranty period when getting replacement goods.

That doesn't mean the product should fail within the first 8 months - for that to happen reflects VERY badly on the manufacturer.
