Just bought myself one, but when I copy DVD's to my PC
it copies @ 2mb/s. (2000kb/s)

So it is taking forever. :(

What could be wrong?

-make sure drive is on its own cable
-test with a retail data dvd?
-make sure windows doesn't assign PIO transfer mode to it!

The Drive is on a cable shared by another CD Rom, but DVD is master.

What are the specs for the PC?

Yip, have to agree. Had a similar problem. Do check what transfer mode your drive is set to in your Device Manager!

is it a writer as well ... if so check out the write speed on a good brand (tdk, sony, verbetim) dvd ... LG is notorius for firmware updates ... sometimes it will write at 4x instead of 16x (even if you have a 16x disc)...

LOL :o Not in public please...

Pentium 4 3.2 GHZ
256MB RAM
:(
Well more ram wouldnt hurt ;)

Your writer might not like the media you're using - what brand/speed dvd do you have?
