LG G2 trouble

Hi there perhaps someone can help me out. I've got an LG G2 which I rooted and installed the Optimus rom a few montha ago. I needed to take the phone back to the shop so I got something I thought was the stock rom and flashed that. Since then my phone has been showing these weird symbols on the web pages. Last week I put on the South African version of Lollipop but that has major signal problems not to mention that those weird characters are still on there. How can I get rid of them ? And how can I downgrade this phone to Kitkat ? Thanks. I used the lg flash tool to put that Lollipop on by the way because I have no internet out here in the sticks.
