Hi guys.

My stock standard LG G3 froze up the other day and refuses to reboot, boot screen comes on but nothing after that.

Won't soft boot
Won't hard boot

Is it possible to reload / repair it?

Thanks

If its under warranty just send it back, happened to a Samsung on mine many years back, took 3 weeks but got it back working. They did like a system level factory reset.

If it's not under warrenty you can probably pay for the same thing or ask for a form stating its beyond economical repair, they charge like R200 for those, email it to insurance and get a new phone.

Guess it's time to start looking for a replacement then.

Under warranty

sometiimes, just sometimes, if one tries to plug them into a PC and boot into recovery they work .

had a galaxy pocket do something similar once before.

I had the same symptom with my LG G4, it's a condition known as bootloop. Phone was still under warranty, sent it for a repair, two months later it was returned and all good! The report stated they had replaced the motherboard

Chuck that thing at the recyclers... or sell it for spare parts at your nearest cell repair shop. I still have an LG G3, bought an Duracell battery for it the other day. Not bootlooping tho. but not my daily driver now. OnePlus 6T is the new kid on the block.

Well well well - while dumping my LG G3 in my used cell phone bin - I spotted my old galaxy S2 which also died a few years ago, would not charge up and got seriously hot when on charge.

Plugged it in and presto it's working fine now
