LG G4

OK, got my G4 and was pleasantly surprised to see it has the leather cover and a spare normal cover, both with NFC :-)

went to China mall and bought a flap cover and screen protector - must still fit protector

Now for setting up with MyPhoneExplorer, as that's what I use to keep my phone synced with my laptop (Outlook calendar and addresses, notes, pics, music etc,) - hope it works!

Welcome to the club.

thanks! :-)

just loaded MPE and works perfectly - busy syncing 10GB of music directly from laptop to phone via WiFi - Outlook calendar, contacts etc done! Other regular syncs setup and working fine - happy camper I am

not sure how electrically knowledgable you guys are, but I noticed that after the phone indicates 100% charged, it still took another 180mAh over a period of around 20mins, before the charging current dropped to zero (I used one of these USB meters)

So essentially, if all the G4's are like mine, one should leave it on charge after it indicates 100% for a while if you want the battery filled to the brim

maybe that's why mine takes a couple of hours before it even drops to 99%... seems like 100 isn't really a 100.

I have noticed that if it says 100% it does not give you the alert that the battery is full yet. that only happens a few minutes later. but I thought that that was happening because my screen was on tbh.

thing is, even when it actually gives me the "battery full, disconnect now" alert, it is actually still charging at quite a high current, which only drops off quite a bit later - I'll try and time the actions more accurately next time

I had a software update available this morning, wifi wasn't working, it stopped. How do I update again?

V10h-AUG-25-2015 probably fixed Stagefright like the previous update did for some. Can anyone confirm?

I had some issues where it wouldn't wake up from the double tap. Hopefully that's sorted.
Yea that happens from time to time although very seldom.

I played with a display model that had touch screen problems the g4 next to it did not have any problems. Makes me think it might be affecting only certain hardware.

did a more accurate test today

after the phone was at 100% charged (and gave the warning to disconnect)
the current was still 0.41A and it charged a further 50mins and 247mAh (around 8% of battery capacity)
whilst the current gradually dropped to around 5mA,
which I assume is then really fully charged

weird! I wonder if anybody else perhaps has one of these USB meters?
