LG G4

Anyone have problems with their data connection after the firmware update?

My WiFi works perfectly, but as soon as my WiFi is switched off then my data connection doesn't work.

I hope that's not due to the update.

Or is MTN up to sh*t again?
 
I did not finish the update had to leave for work early, will update tonight.

Banana are you still having issues? MTN had some problems for me last week and a reboot sorted that out...( fourth time I ever turned to phone off)
 
I updated this morning and the SO last night. no issues yet.

took the tip and left my phone on charge for 30 mins after the notification.
watched 20mins of youtube half an hour after I unplugged with 100% brightness(outside) and when I was done my phone was still on 100% battery. quite interesting.
I wonder if this happens wiht other quick charging devices as well?

I can corroborate this. When I pull my phone off charge as it reaches 100%, it drops quickly, but if I forget to take it off immediately, it lasts longer.
 
Hi All
I was wondering for all those who have had their LG G4's for a while now what is your opinion of the device ? I know it has a great camera but besides that how has battery life been ? Performance in day to day use and RAM management ?

Im trying to decide on a new device for myself and have already ruled out any of the new Samsung devices after being disappointed with the way the RAM is so aggressively managed which leads to page reloads etc when multi tasking etc . So basically I am looking at the LG G4 (I had a LG G3 last year) or going back to stock android with a Nexus or close to stock android with a Motorola .

Any thoughts and views from those who have had the device (LG G4) now for a while would be great

PS: Any views on the durability of the leather backs from those using the device without a cover ?
 
I can't complain about anything. This phone just works flawlessly.

I have a brown leather back and also the black leather back cover.

The black is very durable. The brown is showing some wear and tear.

Thanks , did you purchase the second leather back as an extra ?If so where did you manage to find it if you dont mind me asking ?

Ah , I see . Lucky you . Im surprised they have not had them in store for sale , well not that Iv seen in Durban anyway.
