LG G4

I use this. It charges my G4 in less than 90minutes from 5%.

It can also give it 4 full charge cycles before it needs recharging.

Hey Piesang those covers actually look very very good.

it was quite fun on Saturday at the jhb meet.
Myself, my SO, FAnie, Akasha and Jan all had our G4's there, and I got a decent chance to have a look at the leather backs.

it seems the black ones last longer, but I can definately see some merit in getting something to cover it, it does take a strain, not mine, its pristine, but Jan, and my SO's are startign to show some wear, not a lot but some.
Fanie did not have his on though, and Akasha's was in a cover.


what I want is a leather back flip cover. wonder why LG is not selling those.
I don't want a different kind of leather back, I want the same one as we have out the box, but with a built in flip cover, because I like the idea of the circle case.
 
There's also tempered glass for it around these days and and that cover Piesang showed goes for R400 at Vodashop so you may want to get that as well.

I tested the various micro USB cables I have and many only charge the phone at half or less than half of the current that the OEM cable charges at

How have people found the stock headphones, they look rather impressive. The phone has almost zero bloat, love it!

What's are the first things you should do when getting a G4, settings etc that are very helpful?

Someone mentioned it has some kind of feature to easily transfer all your old data and possibly apps from your old phone?
 
And to add is there some bug with the Wi-Fi? I'm sitting less than 1m from the router and it loses the wifi connection every few minutes.

Is there anyway to completely disable the software buttons without selecting every program in the list?
 
Hello Everyone!

I've only recently looked towards the mbb forums with regards to smartphone purchases because warranties have taken priority recently in my digital life.

I would like advise from anyone who has bought their phones from Orange Store and Takealot and would like to know whether it's better to save an extra R1000-R1500 (Orange Store) but have the hassle of shipping to the UK to claim the warranty instead of the convenience of doing that locally with Takealot?
I bought a Z3 Compact from Orange in March and it's been fine up until now so no warranty hassles at the moment but looking towards getting a G4 now has me thinking that I should take warranties more seriously (especially since I move around a lot during the day and could have a disaster potentially).

All advice is welcome and apologies if this has been brought up or mentioned before as I haven't been through all of the pages in this forum.

You say your WiFi connection drops. So try to restart you router. Maybe it's not a problem with your phone but the wifi signal from your router.

Orange store has not stock and they've told me they don't when they're getting.

No sim is installed and the wifi works perfectly with tablet, phone, laptop, desktop.

Wifi is set to be on constantly, even with screen off and not switch to mobile if no Internet via Wifi. While I was typing this edit the wifi icon disappeared, couldn't send the edit , had to switch the wifi on and off on the phone and then it seemed to reconnect

I've been running this phone now for a week. I'm very happy with it so far. Battery life is good.
Only thing I never noticed before is how many apps have adverts as I've always had a rooted/AdAway combo. I'm reluctant to root for some reason, not sure why :)
I like the phone, I'm actually now looking for another one at a reasonable price for my wife.

IIRC there was another member earlier in this thread that had a similar problem - phone had to be replaced

maybe test G4 on another router to confirm?
