LG G4

Orange store has not stock and they've told me they don't when they're getting.

I also emailed them to find out and they said there may be stock coming in a few "weeks" :o
Still though, I'm starting to think a cheaper price at the cost of a proper warranty and convenience won't be worth it

IIRC there was another member earlier in this thread that had a similar problem - phone had to be replaced

maybe test G4 on another router to confirm?

Similar. WiFi always off but WiFi icon permanently flashing if I recall correctly.

The Raw image files from the G4 are astoundingly good all things considered. Amazing can't believe it, such a teeny weeny image sensor and lens can produce such images.

Tried a different router, same issue, from googling it seems it is a relatively widespread problem with the G4.

Now I know what it feels like to have a brand new flagship phone and have a basic feature be faulty from the get go :(

What now, take it in for repair?

I think within 14 days you can get a new phone - longer, it will have to be sent in (not 100% sure though)

That would mean it'll need booking in, I'll have to try see if there's anything I can do. Lots of people moaning about wifi issues, another one is if you view available wifi networks and you are connected at full bars to your router it'll still show searching for new networks every 10secs.

Why does the Launcher look almost identical to Nova?

Anyone know how to Alt-tab with a swipe gesture on a G4, I used All in one gestures on KITKAT and Note 3 but now on lollipop that is gone, is that a lollipop limitation? Be very disappointed if it is.

The app LAS can do alt tab, albeit with a little bubble on the screen, does some weird things to some apps though.

Can the default task app sync with Google tasks?

Just had a nightmare experience.
Inserted a Vodacom sim card and on startup it automatically installed all 9 of Vodacoms bloatware apps, 2 widgets on the launcher screens and Vodacom wallpaper. The homepage and app icons etc were all reset to default. Couldn't stop the installation and there was no TOS agreement. Apps can't be uninstalled.
WTF!!

Use the debloater tool to disable them all if you don't want to root.

Man I'm bleak about the wifi being so spotty :(
Anyone have any advice on troubleshooting it or should I just take it straight back for warranty?

take it straight back. there was one other case similar on the forum.
also message your service provider and LG at the same time on twitter to find out what is best.
from what I can see it happens to about 1 in 100 000 units shipped. but we all know people with an out of the box fault will complain the loudest.

when did you get the phone? because you should be able to walk in to the store where you got it and simply exchange the device for a new one.

I would take it back immediately - my G4s WiFi worked perfectly from the start and ever since

Used this on my wife's s4 last night to remove some Samsung crapware. Tested it with my G4 briefly, seems to work on in as well.
