LG G4

So you have 4 extra percent. That's great.

Yeah, my bed time is 18:00 in the evening.

Don't reply if you don't know the facts.

My post was at 18:00 and my battery was at 34%.

Usually when I go to bed at around about 22:00 or 23:00 the battery is at 30%.

So yes,it's a big difference.

I'm glad I could explain it to you. Seeing that you find certain things difficult to understand.

One hour later and still on 100%.

Probably too soon to say because I have barely touched the phone today. But seems like it was some sort of gremlin and the battery pull helped.

I have come to the realization that LG's don't like being touched.

Que?
Anyway, next to my old Iphone, LG has the worst battery life of all smartphones i have used.

The best being my old Samsung S5, never though i say it, but i miss that phone

Which LG?

My G4 has the best battery of any Samsung I've ever had, bar the Note 3 and 4.

Don't agree.

I had a Galaxy S2, S3 and then Xperia Z1 before the G4.

Apart from yesterday's little gremlin the G4 has given me the best battery life of all of those. Always left with 60% plus when I get home where the others would be well below 50% at the same time.

PS: Still miss my S2 some times.

+1gazillion

Had the S2, S4, S5, S6edge - G4 beats all of them. Also had the Note 3 and 4 <- their battery life is on par with the G4

I still miss my S2 too... I have an S4mini in my drawer which is much the same as the S2 on hardware size and specs... Have considered more than once to have the S4mini in my pocket. It's currently loaded with Cyanogenmod 12.1 and the animations are just soooo buttery smooth....

CM on S2 was such a thing of beauty!

Tried it on Z1 later on but was just never the same.

Now with the G4 I don't even have the urge to try CM out. Don't know why. Everything just works so nicely together that I don't think it is needed. And I do think Android has come some way since Gingerbread.

The G4 is pretty close to CM. Where the Touchwiz just completely looses vanilla with their customization. Last night I was thinking about loading CM 13 for the G4, just to get Marshmallow.... but eventually decided against it.

O, and my S2 died a while ago, and I can't even get to the point where I chuck it in the bin...

I'll be sure to psychically pull that info from your posts.

Ass.

After 2hr 45min I think I can safely say things are looking normal again.

I am glad you are sorted.

I had to charge mine when I got in bed, around 22:00 it was on 4% (normally sits around 30%)
when the SO came to bed the phone was full, so she unplugged it.
when the alarm went off at 6 it was still at 100% (she struggled to get up lol)

then I found that one of my favourite games had a massive update and the interface was rebuilt really nicely.
Tiket to ride is a known battery drain, so I avoid playing on my phone, but the new version looks so nice I have played 2 games....

sitting on 82% now, and yes its pretty much all ticket that killed it.
the sad thing is I know with my next smoke break I will play another game, so I might have to charge my phone in the office before I leave today...

Anyone find the automatic brightness a little erratic at times? I find it will dim out the blue, enough to make it hard to read the scree and then brighten a little while later despite me being in the identical location/light conditions.

give us a screenshot of where the bar is set with screen brightness auto ticked on. your baseline might be set too low.

How would the baseline setting being low make the brightness dim erratically?
