Campus Wi-Fi sucks it's going to take forever to download.

Btw Piesang did u do a factory reset after this update.
 
I am also on MTN, just ported from Cell C as a matter of fact to make use of the Afrihost mobile data.

I've been at campus the entire morning, no factory reset (just yet...) and so far no issues at all. Seems a bit smoother and battery life, I'll have to give it a while before I can judge.

Yes, can't say anything about battery life yet. What I can say is that the battery dropped from about 90% tot 60% while downloading add doing the update. I was using the phone a lot during that time though.
 
Something is bothering me. My phones battery was on 3% at 13:15. I plugged in the charger and it took about 2hours and 5min to charge to 100%. And we all know that when the battery reach 100% the G4 likes to stay plugged in for another 15 to 20 minutes for optimal performance.

It usually took about 1h15min - 1h30min to fully charge. I hope it's just the new firmware settling in.

Let me know what your charge times are later please.

Will download on home wifi tonight. Work wifi is dog slow.

are you sure about the pre-update time to charge? Mine still on old FW takes over 2hrs from 5%

100% positive. I'm very strict when it comes to overcharging my devices. I always check the time it takes to charge my phones to make sure I don't leave it on charge for too long.

1h15min-1h30min is charging from about 3% - 5% to 100% without the extra 15to20mins.

mine charges longer - I have one of these USB current and voltage indicators and normally remove my phone from charge when the current drops to 0mA

What's it called?

I forgot, I'm using a 2100mAh charger and not the Stock 1800mAh charger. That's what makes the difference.

Now that the battery is fully charged (with the extra 20min), I'll be checking out how the new battery optimization works. I'll post some info later.
