The wheel on my magic remote gave up after almost only a year of use. The little stem holding it in position broke. What are my options to get a replacement remote? Are there any generic remotes that will work?

Got a replacement remote at Game, but you lose magic functionality.
It was R1800 or so for OEM, this one was around R200. I never really used the Magic function anyways.
They do? Mine is still going strong 6 years later. I dropped it, spilled food on it, touched it with oily hands etc. You're an idiot. Remotes break all the time, my Samsung one also died.

Takes one to know one...Good for you. You're still an idiot.
Your Samsung remote doesn't have a built-in mouse wheel to deal with. They do? Mine is still going strong 6 years later. I dropped it, spilled food on it, touched it with oily hands etc.
Sweet. Hirsch is a little cheaper at R490. My TV repair guy told me just to install a wireless mouse and use a generic remote. I still like the feel of the original though.Makro has them for R500 for OEM. That's where I got my replacement from.
