Of course it's "donkey twaddle" and "propaganda" to you, because it runs against your agenda of stealing from people (which is what socialism is, by definition). Those who wish to steal from others under whatever guise (i.e. socialism which attempts to paint theft over with a thin artificial veneer of legitimacy) will always try manipulate those who call them on it with false arguments. It doesn't make you less of a thief. Actually, a common street thief has more honour, in that he doesn't try to hide the immorality of what he's doing and pretend it's good.

What are you talking about? I am not, nor ever will be socialist or communist, if that is what you are implying. And when last I checked you did not have to be one of them to be liberal. (And I'm not liberal by the way, so shut it before you hurt yourself) Have you read any of my posts, I'm actually very critical of the ANC so stop pointing fingers at me. It's funny though, usually the guilty are the first to point fingers, are you guilty of something, hmmm.

The fact of the matter is the stuff written in the OP's link is just more "the liberals are this, the liberals are loonies, the liberals are that." This is just mud slinging in my book. It offers nothing but a face full of dirt to which the liberals reply with more mud slinging. So everyone just gets dirty. And quite frankly with all the mud people loose sight of real issues that affect us. Like perhaps, the state of education, or the fact that our government is woefully inept at service delivery.

If Republicans were in power would you have the same issue with more stringent policies with regards to the Patriot Act?

On another note, while I appreciate that 'liberal' has become the vilified it saddens me that in most cases its used on similar sites that incite and support racism and fascism. Sad really.

And what are the consequences thereof?

The reason that people call government into existence is to protect the exercise of such rights.

For example access to health care and education in spite of social status.

Capitalism too, by definition. So what is the difference? Well in socialism you steal from the strongest and wealthiest, whereas in capitalism you steal from the weakest and poorest.

Sure, man. No-one's forcing you to be part of society. There's plenty of uninhabited places left in the world which are evidently far poorer for your absence.
