ICASA has issued out its plan for how it will map old licences onto the new - no real surprises contained BUT there is confirmation that it is ICASA's intention to convert VANS licences into
(1) an electronic communications network service licence

(2) an electronic communications service licence
(1) is an infrastructure licence...i.e. depending on whether they are awarded an individual or a class licence the converted VANS will be able to self-provide either on a national level or on a district/local municipality level
......this is potentially a huge development!
