Hi guys, just had to share a quick before and after pic. The first is on 3-line bonded Mweb. 2nd on NeoBroadband Fibre 15mb.

Perhaps a test with a neutral speed test server would have been more interesting. However, zacdesai did seem to use the closest speed test server for their tests, which should have actually put Neotel at a slight disadvantage since it was connecting to an Mweb server from an Mweb connection, but for the Neotel one it's testing against Vodacom.
Still interesting nonetheless.

Lol. Took the quickest route to test, just as we kicked over onto Neotel.
It's a business network with 120 users. Negotiated Neotel down to about 9,500 excl on a 3 yr contract. They had to trench and run the fibre to us about 1km from the nearest pop.

Great, you are comparing fibre to ADSL , and then you are amazed that the fibre is quicker. Well done!!!

Bleh, not amazed, was simply delighted. Even more so since the Neotel costs us about 1k more than what we were paying mweb for the bonded adsl.

Paul, it actually works great. We have bandwidth management in place too, so the business critical apps always get priority over say, YouTube or similar.

What's wrong with that? We have over a 500 users behind a 15Mb neotel line and no issues. Line does not even get maxed out. But then again with strict firewall policies no user can download anything over 1Mb. Suppose all depends on the needs of the users as well. People come to the office to work, not rape the internet lol

True, on a corporate network, the controls let you get much more out of the available bandwidth. We use a Dell Sonicwall device. I'm a huge fan. We wouldn't have lasted as long on adsl, with the 120 users, without something in place.
