I was expecting the chips to occupy the whole space. From Floppy, to CD, to DVD, to USB, HDD and SSD.
And thats what we call the Victron Tax. At work they have this thing. But 5k in total including the shunt? Ya, no.
good enough at 56.4v you will never run it close it that now you can let it just keep it like thatManaged to get Bat 2 down to about 120mV deviation. That is after 1 hour of discharging and charging individual cells. Its sitting at 56.4v now but the bms is not balancing![]()
I'm so done with PaceBMS honestly.
How did bat 1 pacebms manage to balance itself?Managed to get Bat 2 down to about 120mV deviation. That is after 1 hour of discharging and charging individual cells. Its sitting at 56.4v now but the bms is not balancing![]()

Why you voiding bat 2 warranty by opening it? Wasnt that the reason for buying the powersupply? Its reaching 56V already. You have years for it to balance itself like bat 1 did. Why you using powersupply to charge 5A @ cell voltage and not 5A at 58V and use lightbulb to bleed peaking cells?
I thought you were supposed to be doing bat 3 as that only gets to 54V using the strategy I layed out yesterday?
did it have a do not open sticker? The warranty was never really going to mean much anyways unless I get an installer to do it for me and give me a new coc and even then the dates won't match so yeah. It is what it is.
They want to see that the battery was installed by qualified electrician and COC issues before accepting returns for warranty. Most places like Solar warehouse operate like that. You may get lucky going straight to the manufacturer.did it have a do not open sticker?
I personally am a buy and replace and don't care about warranty. I am off grid. So, every time an inverter packs up I must call my installer, go through the whole process of warranty which can take weeks. All the while sitting without power? They want to see that the battery was installed by qualified electrician and COC issues before accepting returns for warranty. My whole solar install has no warranty. I voided it the moment I did DIY. I think only my Geyser controller as I did most of that with the help of the guys that side. Very helpful. They knew I was an Engineer, but it matters nothing as I am not a qualified installer. But i do think if I message them, they will assist based on my experience with them.
I was just wondering places like makro etc? same? They want to see that the battery was installed by qualified electrician and COC issues before accepting returns for warranty. Most places like Solar warehouse operate like that. You may get lucky going straight to the manufacturer.

I do agree does look very niceNot on any of the screws I took off. its actually a well build battery.
What if you paid R80k like sunsynk 16kWh was a couple of years ago?I personally am a buy and replace and don't care about warranty. I am off grid. Warranty isn't worth the paper printed on for someone like me. Better off being like the Andy guy Wingnut follows or the Old Jarhead I follow on YT. DIY, take the sole responsibility for any mess-up you make.
My inverter was also 3.3k. I can replace that every 6 months if needed. Not worth the hassle fighting warranty and using installers for this. Maybe a 30k inverter i would consider getting an installer.
That's why I said the 30k part about the inverter. If paying that much I would consider it. Battery, not possible. I would be doing DIY LFP. The local guys actually offer warranties on the cells. So, if one packs up i just get it replaced. What if you paid R80k for your battery?

I just buy the cheapest battery for around 8-9k call it day. If the bms kaks Ill slap a jk inThat's why I said the 30k part about the inverter. If paying that much I would consider it. You won't find me buying a Freedom Won battery. Even if I was a millionaire or something in dollars. DIY batteries, Cheap inverters for 15k under. That's how I roll. More fun anyway.
My price playground is here lol.

10kWh for 40 to 58k is madness. I saw them at the Victron shop when collecting my busbars and just kept walkingView attachment 1912391
Seems like a bargain to me
