Yea, They are really good and support is good. But is it 40-50k good
He is struggling to sell his. I kinda feel for him. He wont get anywhere near the money he spent on them. I can see someone taking it for 30k but he would have lost almost 27k.
Looks like the offer a 6 month warranty. After that you are at the mercy of the manufacturer. Its 50/50 it looks like. My Omnivolt from builders has a 6 month warranty from builders ONLY if i used an installer.

That's why I said the 30k part about the inverter. If paying that much I would consider it. Battery, not possible. I would be doing DIY LFP. The local guys actually offer warranties on the cells. So, if one packs up i just get it replaced.
You won't find me buying a Freedom Won battery. Even if I was a millionaire or something in dollars. DIY batteries, Cheap inverters for 15k under. That's how I roll. More fun anyway.
My price playground is here lol.

New cells always deliver more capacity than advertised so BMS just doesn't report anything over 100% I would assume and/or has probably never ran them dead so it hasnt had the opportunity to do the calculation. The state of health at 100% is just the BMS. How much capacity do the cells still have after 3+ years. That is the real question. It probably lost like 4% or so.
Well they cant say anything really. All the protection etc is there. The electrician will check according to the SANS requirements. You just ring him up, tell him what you want to do, ask him if he has any objections and voila. As long as your insurance company is happy lol.

Dont CoC need serial numbers and whatnot?Well they cant say anything really. All the protection etc is there. The electrician will check according to the SANS requirements. You just ring him up, tell him what you want to do, ask him if he has any objections and voila.
There are hundreds of homes running DIY banks in SA, thousands upon thousands worldwide. There wouldnt be a market for them if all these homes lost their insurance.
They can use the JK serial number. Not all batteries come with from what I saw on this forum. I think @DTBA said his doesnt have.Dont CoC need serial numbers and whatnot?

Would definitely build mine with these. It will suffice with 80% of the installers I am sure.
Who wants puny 5kWh for DIY kit? IMHO, all these cases are rip offs and defeats the DIY option being cheaper.Unfortunately says enquire. But local options exist. With enough digging one can find something. From Lithium battery SA and comes with BMS and breaker.

Will see when the time comes. There is always a supplier somewhere. Would need to scour Aliexpress or local and find them. Can get it made. Where there is a will there is a way.
I will set the voltage cut off at 3.1V a cell or 49.6V. Maybe 49 to cover for voltage drop. He has some good info @wingnut771.
