You could live with it, it is balancing, its not like you going to gain much by doing this.
I would rather get a victron smart shunt, then you know exactly how many Ah you are getting out.

How do you know if you cant access CFE BMS?Haven't done much testing yet but the CFE battery seems to be performing better than expected. I managed to pull 3.8kW from the battery before it started flashing low voltage alarm.
I think that is more than 80% usable energy. Also while balancing yesterday most cells are balanced. There is about a ~100mV or so imbalance though so I would also need to top balance it a bit.

Maybe check cell voltages again at 47.8V? What voltage was OVP cutoff?I have my Fnirsi digital clamp meter. Opened the battery and measured it. At 55.4V pack voltage after resting a bit most were around 3.35v or so and 2 was at 3.55v give or take. I know this because it hit ovp cutoff so I disconnected it and opened it and tested each cell.
I think it was 47.8v fault light was flashing so probably the low voltage alarm.

Yeah, you want all batteries to be top balanced at 55.2V.Since this battery seem easy to balance and the new ecco solar I'm waiting for my bench power supply. I'm going to charge these until ovp cutoff then balance them manually after that so I don't have to worry how they perform when they are in parallel. Then battery 3 will get some treatment.
I want to have it sit at the high voltage for a while to see if the balancer can work after I set the parameters because this one is not easy to manually balance with this cylinder 6p cell packs.

can do both at same time too. yeah dc-dc thing would be for cells only if balancer is too slow.I'm just going to do both with the bench power supply because I can do the whole pack voltage at 55.4v and sit there and individual cells where the dc-to-dc buck max voltage is 40v so yeah can only do individual cells.

I only charge up to 14.9v though.
