Lightedge in LIQUIDATION

This sucks. I usedto buy at Lightedge in CT for the companies I have worked at. They sold lots of little things that you couldn't always find everywhere. I wanted to open my own account with them since last year but never got around to it. Their service was ok.

I haven't been to them all that often lately. They moved into a nice new bigger building in CT about a year ago I think. The new building was very nice and they had popcorn and hot chocolate next to a display of figurines. Now its all over :(

I drove past their new building the other day and see its up for auction. This shows that even though a company is big its not immune from failure. With the global economy heading towards recessions etc we can expect to see more of this in the future.

I am sure there must be at least one staff member here on this forum, anyone care to share information on how this is affecting everyone?

Whatever the reason for them going down, my heart is saddened for the staff members that have lost their work and have to go home to families empty handed. As director of a small IT business that purchased from Lightedge from time to time I was really shocked to get to their offices today to see the doors shut and to find out from the neighbours that they had gone bust. This affects a lot of people directly and indirectly and I think we should all be concerned. As it's said "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".
