You can claim only if your insurance cover unintended abuse, not just accidental or lightning damage. As you post a question in a "lightning damage" thread - and we know, it is not in your case - you are planning to cheat on them.Im not trying to cheat anybody, the hard drive is properly screwed now, it just disappears in MiniXP (Hirens Boot CD)

Hear, hear...Ok I forgot to mention that this hard drive was part of a replacement computer that was struck by lightning, so it should still be under warranty.
