Lightning to USB cable for iPhone 5

I'll rather bite the bullet and get a genuine one from Cellucity or the like.

What he said. Checked the Apple website and they selling for $20. Thats way too much for a cable i think.

That's nothing I recently accidentally severed the cable to my Nikon point and shoot and Kameraz in Rosebank say it's R500 for a new one...

Was also looking for one.....first shop I checked wanted R500. For a cable. Hopefully its coming to a traffic light near me soon for a reasonable price.

Makro has them for R229.

What I really wanted was the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter but the only other one they had was the Lightning to 30-pin cable and that was double the price so I just got the USB to lightning.

I just got a lightning to 30pin for my dock, was like R300... I think... but been looking for the lightning to USB - not even apple shop in Sandton drive has stock...

Watch out for the lightning to 30pin connector. I bought a cheapy one and it doesn't have the digital audio converter. So it means you can't listen to stuff on your old docks.

Yes, but can you charge the phone with it? I have 4 or 5 of the old 30 pin cables (gathered over the year with various ipods, etc) and have them plugged into strategic points (bedroom, kitchen, work, garage, parents house) so that it's easy and convenient for wife, kids, visitors to juice up their devices (iphones, ipods, etc) so it only needs to charge.

Where did you buy your cheapy and how much did you pay?

Can't remember now sorry. I paid around 100 bucks each. It charges and syncs fine. I am having issues with one of the adapters being a bit twitchy. Have to plug it in and remove a few times from 30pin connector. The other one works without any hassles.

Deal extreme has them quite cheap now. When I got mine they weren't selling any.

Thanks - bit the bullet and ordered from the chinese supplier - don't mind waiting a while.
