Has anyone had the chance to try out the Trial Version of Lightroom 2?

I am seriously impressed! It runs like an absolute charm on my Macbook and the best thing for me is that my Panasonic DMC-L10k's RAW format is finally recognized by the Mac! Woohoo!

There are some great tools built into Lightroom 2, i've always loved the "workflow" adoption that they have taken with the software. I'm also very pleased to see that Adobe listened to their customers and included some very much needed features such as the Dodge and Burn Facility!

There are also tons of other great features like the ability to open a second workflow on a second display also a very iTunes like Metadata browser.

In the end what really got me was that it ran so well on me little white Macbook!

Defiantly worth a look at!

Try the demo final version. It was released this week. Will be in SA stores mid to end August. Yes, and it does rock. Hard for a newbie though as there is not a lot of info on the web, at least not to the same extend as PS.

Sorry, I see you are a Maccy. The Windows version is out and 64bit BTW. Not sure of the Mac demo though. The local editing feature rocks, hey.

Mac version is 64Bit as well. I'm dying to see this run on a Mac Pro 8-Core with 32GB's of RAM

I also tried it for about a month and I could not find the groove. Maybe its just me but Aperture all the way
