Hi guys,
can someone recommend a light weight (for jogging) mp3 player to buy? i went and bought one of the 2gb cheapies and this piece of Kaak is faulty and only plays some mp3s

any recommendations please. ive checked some online stores but have had no luck

Ipod shuffle new once are nice and small the new nano is even small enough to jog with... just turn the skip shake function thingie off lol...

I use the sansa express- it cost me R200 and have been really happy with it- I dont think the express in on the market any more tho. That said, I have been happy with sansa and do recommend it. A friend has a cheap samsung and he swears by it.

The Sansas are very cool and generally cheap too. Look and Listen sell them.

The good thing about the Sansa range is it works like a flash drive and don't need any special "sync" software and it use standard USB connectors etc. I'm not the sure iPods are as simple requiring iTunes/proprietary connectors. So for a "small lightweight" player i always felt it must "just work" , i'm happy jumping through hoops with my supersized 120GB "can-play-movies-too" , but for a little 2GB player which i strap onto my arm and hardly look at?

Here is the Sansa Clip at LnL (4GB version, there's a 2GB one for R500)

also look at the Sansa Fuze [more expensive , but got more features] .

yeah they're great little players those Clips. I recommended one for my boss and he raves about it.

I have a SANSA clip and it's way awesome. Bought a 4GB one for R500 I think. Battery life is amazing and recharges while plugged into USB. It's nice and small with big enough buttons to easily locate while running.

If you insist on looking like a car guard you can always buy white earphones and pretend it's an ipod.

Plus the Sansa Clips come with FM Radio too, something the iPods tend to not have.

I got the 8GB clip and it has the round wheel button thing below the screen which is great for changing tracks + changing volume "on the run" with one finger [without having to look] , especially while this thing is stuck on your arm etc.

Get a Sony Walkman mp3 player. My teen nephew has one and it's durable, has 2Gb storage, comes with a quick charge function(3 mins charge gives a few hours playback), and his favourite feature is the MegaBass equaliser enhancement which makes your music go doof doof:D

The equaliser settings also work with FM radio.

I think these mp3 players sell for R449.
